Our cold and flu tablets also help to clear catarrh. How it works: Our Day and Night tablets target cold and flu symptoms including fever, body aches and congestion. The cold and flu day tablets contain paracetamol to help bring down a fever and provide relief from headaches or bodily aches and pains. Also contains pseudoephedrine hydrochloride which is a decongestant that helps clear stuffy noses. The night cold and flu tablets contain paracetamol to help relieve body aches and fever. Also contains diphenhydramine hydrochloride, an antihistamine that helps to relieve a runny nose, whilst pseudoephedrine causes the blood vessels in the nasal and sinus passages to constrict and narrow, reducing congestion and the production of excess mucus.
