DescriptionChinese antique scroll painting signed by artist Zhang Mu (1607-1683). The scene is of a group of horses under a tall, moss-draped tree. A small stream flows down the hillside and birds fly in the sky. The horses are especially beautiful – a dappled one prances in the grass. Calligraphy in the upper right side of the painting titled of an “Old Tree and Horses”. Painted in light colors and ink on paper.
