Magnesium is an essential major component / element / ion in natural sea water (NSW). Magnesium is found at about 1300 parts per million (ppm) at 77F / 25C at a salinity of 35 parts per thousand (ppt) or a specific gravity of 1.026. ACP Magnesium Mg is a unique blend of highly concentrated forms of pH balanced, bio-available, and bio-active high purity magnesium. ACP Magnesium Mg replaces various essential forms of magnesium that are consumed by captive marine life in their normal metabolic process. Multiple forms of essential magnesium are employed as they are found in NSW. ACP Magnesium Mg is ideal to maintain and accelerate coral growth along with coloration and natural health. ACP Magnesium Mg will not alter pH or alkalinity. Mg maintains the critical SO4 Cl balance. Maintain Mg at 1300 ppm. for sea water duplication. This is ideal for marine fish and various sea plants and algae. Maintain Mg at 1300-1350 ppm. for reef aquariums. Avoid adjusting magnesium over 1375 ppm. Magnesium should be in balance with: alkalinity (carbonate hardness), calcium (Ca ), SO4— (sulfate), K (potassium) and pH. Prior to adding ACP Magnesium Mg , test for calcium and alkalinity. Adjust with ACP #1 # # 2 if necessary. Alkalinity must be between 6-9 or 2.14-3.21 meq/L. Calcium must be between 400-460 ppm.. Test for other major ions and adjust if necessary only with ACP #4 and #5. Use periodic additions of ACP #6, #7, #8, #9 & #10 to maintain heavily stocked reef aquaria between routine water changes. Use ACP #11, Sea Safe when mixing new salt water. ACP Magnesium Mg has no, phosphates, nitrites, nitrates, silicates, heavy metals or unwanted undesirable contaminates. ACP Magnesium Mg is available in 16 ounce / 474 ml size that will treat 2500 US gallons / 2075 Imperial gallons / 9450 Liters of sea water.
