Khandoba is a deity of Southern and Western India who is still widely worshipped in Maharashtra and regarded as the guardian deity of the Deccan. The Hindu god is mounted on horseback, his sword in one hand. On his left knee is balanced his beautiful wife. Their horse is standing on a raised pedestal.
