DescriptionExceptional large Japanese Imari charger.  This monumental porcelain plate features a dramatic alternating panel design decorated with finely detailed dragons and phoenix birds amid scrolling clouds and radiant motifs in vibrant iron red, turquoise, cobalt blue, and gilt highlights.The exterior is beautifully finished in underglaze blue with scrolling karakusa patterns, and the base bears a red underglaze seal mark.
